We Will Fight To Restore Our Party...Even If It Means a Draft.

And It Finally Begins...

"Former Tennessee senator Fred Thompson hasn't formally announced he'll run for the Republican presidential nomination -- but today he did begin raising money for a prospective bid, USA TODAY Washington bureau chief Susan Page writes. She continues:

In a conference call with about 100 people -- many of whom have urged him to jump in the race -- Thompson asked for their help in raising funds for a testing-the-waters committee, which is likely to be formed next week. That money could be used for a campaign when and if he's ready to run.

Even before launching a campaign, Thompson finished third in the latest USA TODAY/Gallup Poll, at 13% support among Republicans and Republican-leaning independents. In the survey, taken May 4-6, former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani led with 34%; Arizona Sen. John McCain was second at 20%. No other GOP candidate got above 10%." (source)

Next week! The best part is, I was speaking to an organzier of the Philadelphia Young Democrats the other day --and they aren't taking him seriously at all. "That actor?!" was her reposponse as to what she thought of him. Another misunderestimated candidate on the horizon?

Amen and halleluia!

He's got my vote. And to all you conservatives out there - forget Guliani, forget Romney and McCain.

Throw your weight and support behind Thompson. Put a strong conservative in the White House!

It's okay if he doesn't announce... we're all just gonna write him anyway.

I become rather amused reading all the articles about Freddie boy, the ones trying to detract from his appeal, and then wind up contradicting the detractions. I hope I have opportunity to be present when he makes his announcement.

If you're a Fred supporter and want him in the White House, it's important to offer $upport early!

P.S. If you haven't seen it already, head over to my blog (http://brian71490.wordpress.com) and take a look at Fred's awesome response to Michael Moore's little challenge.
